OXFORD DIECAST MODEL 76DBU001 - A CORRECTION
Further to my news of 12th February, many thanks to Bill Lenton for point out an apparent error in the fleet number for the above model. I contacted Oxford Diecast who confirmed fleet number should be M436 not M438 as reported. It transpired there was a typing error on the list that Oxford sent me and the model will be correct. The confirmed models details are:

NEW EDDIE STOBART PRODUCT FROM ATLAS EDITIONS
A flyer for a new series of Eddie Stobart products arrived with my Subscriber copy of Model Collector magazine. Atlas Editions have announced the launch of a range of Porcelain Collector Plates. The first model features Scania R440 "Jodie Maria" and the second will feature Mark Dixons Volvo Pheobe Grace (although not known if it is the new vehicle or the old one). As usual with Atlas Editions the first two are heavily discounted with free gifts including a Stobart pin badge and a display stand for the plates. By ordering both at the same time and getting an additional discount for giving my debit card number they worked out at approximately £11.00 for the two plates including postage. I understand from Atlas Editions there will be approximately 30 plates in the collection. Usual price will be £14.99 plus postage. CLICK HERE to view the front page of the flyer.

ERROR ON CORGI MODEL CC13749 - STOBART IRELAND
 Further to my news of last week, I have received confirmed details of the model from Time Tunnel Models:

Unfortunately it appears that the fleet number is wrong. The following details are taken from the Stobart fleet list:

Registration number: 12-D-35546
Name: Rhiannon Scarlett

It appears there are two vehicles with the same fleet name "Rhiannon Scarlett", one Stobart UK and the other Stobart Ireland. It appears that Corgi have taken the fleet number from the UK vehicle and mixed it with the Irish registration. The fleet number on the model relates to the UK vehicle which has the registration number PL10 AKZ

Ford Escort MkI - Mark Higgins - Peter Martin RAC 2005 - In 2005 Mark Higgins took an outright win on the second Roger Albert Clark Rally. On this occasion, the all conquering Ford Escort took the top eleven places.

Ford Escort MkII - Malcolm Wilson - John Millington RAC Rally 2008 - Malcolm WIlson drove home to victory in the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2008 with a stunning winning lead of six minutes. Ford Escorts took the top eight positions.
